Governor's Award "Best Diploma Thesis"

  • This competition initiated on 2006, by the former Governor of the Bank of Albania and it has become a tradition which takes place every year. The general idea is to promote and stimulate graduated academic Albanian students here and abroad for representing their scientific research on issues related to monetary economics, financial stability, economic integration of the Balkans into Europe, the Bank of Albania activity, the Albanian banking system and the economy, at large.

I designed the symbolic award, which represented a Liburnian ship sailing in an oak leaf. Both are Albanian symbols, a legacy of our ancient history, long journey of the monetary history, as well as the power strength and the stability in our bank embodied in the oak leaf, a durable, strong, and resilient traditional tree.

This was realized in metal plates (gold, silver and bronze plated), and were awarded to the first, second and third price diploma thesis.

In 2016, a new design was required, related to BoA renovation. I redesigned the plates showing a stylized version of the new edifice of the BoA.
